Agni Privacy Policy

Account information. You can sign in with Apple, Google, or an email address verified by a one-time code. Depending on the method, we receive your name, email address (which may be an Apple private relay address) and profile photo.

Device and sensor data. The Agni wearable records abdominal sound audio, along with breathing rate, motion, and skin-contact sensor readings, which the app processes to generate your personal Agni state and score.

Meal data. Photos you take of meals, along with any nutritional or food information our AI derives from them.

Coach conversations. Messages you exchange with the in-app AI coach, kept so the coach can refer back to earlier context in your conversations.

Wellness questionnaire responses. Your answers to the in-app constitution (Prakriti) quiz.

Diagnostic and usage data. Crash reports, app performance data, and general usage patterns, collected to help us fix bugs and improve the app.

Push notification identifiers. A device token used to deliver notifications to your phone.

We use the information above to: operate the app's core features, including computing your Agni state and generating personalized insights; power the AI coach's responses; send you notifications you've opted into; diagnose and fix technical problems; and respond to support requests you send us.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share data only with the service providers that help us run Agni, each of whom is contractually limited to using it on our behalf:

Google Firebase — authentication and push notification delivery Render — backend server hosting MongoDB Atlas — database storage Sentry — crash and error monitoring

We use Anthropic to analyze meal photos, to generate coach replies, and to help interpret readings from your Agni wearable, including data derived from gut-sound recordings. When you use these features, the relevant photo, message or reading data is sent to Anthropic for processing. We ask for your permission in the app before any of your data is sent to Anthropic. Anthropic processes this data to provide the response to us and we do not allow it to be used for advertising.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Agni or our users.

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You can delete your account and all of your data at any time in the app: Settings > Account > Delete my account. Deletion permanently removes your readings, meals, coach conversations, insights, baseline answers, device tokens and sign-in record from our servers and clears the data stored on your phone. If you signed in with Apple, we also revoke Apple's sign-in access. You can also request deletion at agnigut.com/delete-account or by emailing agniguthealth@gmail.com. We keep data only while your account is active, except where the law requires us to keep it.

Agni is a wellness and self-awareness tool. It is not a medical device, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. The insights it provides are for general informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider with questions about a medical condition.

Agni is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence. By using Agni, you consent to this transfer and processing.

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the effective date above when we do, and material changes will be noted in the app.
